You are cordially invited to our AKC Spring Licensed
Hunt Test. The event will be held on private land
and Cheney Reservoir Wildlife Area, near Cheney Kansas. Sunflower
Retriever Club is a member of the Master National Retriever Club.
Private Land- Please stay on roads. No smoking
except in vehicles.
Wildlife Area Regulations: Vehicles limited to maintained
roads and parking areas. A no trash policy is in
effect on the wildlife area. Enjoy the area but
leave only your footprints behind. Please take
your trash with you. Primitive camping is allowed
only in Fish Cove and DeWeese Park. Picnic tables, fire rings, and grills are not provided. Vault toilets and trash dumpsters are provided at both
locations. Potable water, electrical, and sewage
hookups are not available. All fires must be
contained and quiet hours are from 11:00PM to 6:00AM. All
other accessible areas are closed to camping.
Pit toilets available in the Wildlife areas, located at
Red Bluffs, Fish Cove, Deweese Park,
and Wenzel Cove.
State Park Area: Entrance and camping fees required in
state parks. No fees required for handlers unless
you are camping in or using the state park area. The
park features 223 electrical hookup sites with water; over 400 primitive
camp sites; 4 trailer dumpstations; 7 modern pit
toilets; 9 showerhouses; 1 shelter with
restrooms; 2 large group shelters; 2 medium group shelters; 29 small picnic
shelters; 1 group camping area with 20 utility sites, a large shelter and a
restroom; 2 nature trails; and 7 modern cabins.
*No alcohol to be consumed until after the last dog has ran.
*No one can possess or consume cereal malt beverages with
more than 3.2% alcohol by weight. 3.2% beer is
available only in Grocery or Convienience stores
in Kansas.
*The possession or consumption of alcoholic liquor is prohibited.
